×Brant Hills Branch Closure | Aug 10 to Sep 13
Brant Hills Branch will temporarily close from Monday, August 10 to Sunday, September 13 due to construction activities at Brant Hills Community Centre, including the library. Unfortunately, a multi-week closure is needed while construction crews complete additional structural reinforcement before the new heating and cooling system can be installed on the roof.
We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding during this second closure and apologize for the inconvenience.
Important Dates
- July 31: Last day to place holds for pickup at Brant Hills Branch
- August 9: Last open day at Brant Hills Branch
- August 10: Brant Hills Branch is closed, including the book drop
- September 14: Planned reopening of Brant Hills Branch
Please note the book drop will not be available during the closure. You can return your items to any other BPL location. The nearest branches are Tansley Woods Branch (1996 Itabashi Way) and Alton Branch (3040 Tim Dobbie Drive).

Kids Programs
Regularly scheduled programs will not run during the closure, but we will be offering a special outdoor family storytime at Brant Hills Park while the branch is closed.
Outdoor Family Storytime
Read, sing, and play with us every Wednesday during the closure. Perfect for children ages 5 and younger and their grown-ups. Meet us near the playground near Brant Hills Public School. We invite you to bring a lawn chair or blanket for comfort. In case of bad weather, please consider attending an indoor storytime at nearby library locations.

Summer Reading Club
If you are participating in Summer Reading Club, the closure will impact weeks seven and eight of your weekly check-ins. You will have two alternative options to complete your weekly check-ins during the closure. Our branch staff are happy to help you select the best option for you:
Option 1: Check in at another nearby branch for the final two weeks of the program.
Option 2: When you visit Brant Hills to check in for week 6, pick up an ‘SRC at home’ kit with stickers, charms, and everything you’ll need to complete your final check-ins online.
We are looking forward to welcoming you back to the branch on September 14.
Noise Alert | Brant Hills Branch
Roof construction will take place at Brant Hills during the weeks of July 13 and July 20. The library will remain open during this work; however, visitors may experience increased noise levels inside the branch. We appreciate your understanding.
Kilbride Branch Closed, June 28 to Sep 7
Kilbride Branch is closed June 28 to September 7, reopening September 8.
The branch is closed for safety reasons while Halton District School Board completes several infrastructure and accessibility upgrades at Kilbride Public School. These upgrades affect the shared building entrance and the library's exterior wall.
Nearest Open Locations
Kibride Branch book drop will not be available during the closure. You can return your items to any other BPL location. The nearest branch is Alton Branch (3040 Tim Dobbie Drive). Kilbride Branch customers planning to take part in BPL’s Summer Reading Club are encouraged to use this location.
