Celebrating Earth Month at BPL

April brings a fresh focus on creativity, community, and caring for the world around us. At BPL, you’ll find hands-on programs and practical ideas that make it easy to reuse materials, try something new, and take small steps that add up.

Reduce, Reuse, Reimagine, Rediscover!

One of the highlights this month is our Craft Supply Drive, running from April 1 to 30 at all BPL branches. We’re inviting the community to donate new or gently used craft materials to support children’s and teen programs across the library system. Donations will be collected throughout April, then sorted by teen volunteers and redistributed for future programming—helping reduce waste while keeping creativity circulating.

You’ll also find curated environment-themed book displays and book bundles in our branches, April 15-30, featuring great stories worth rediscovering. Kids can search the branch for clues at our month-long drop-in Earth Month Scavenger Hunt! And gardeners—get growing this spring with sample-size seed packs from our Seed Library seasonal collection, available starting April 1!

Here's a selection of what's happening this Earth Month at BPL.
