April 1 to 30
This Earth Month, help give creative materials a second life. Donate new or gently used craft supplies at any BPL branch and support future library programs for children and teens. It’s an easy way to reduce waste, encourage reuse, and help stock future programs with materials ready for making, building, and creating.
Donations will be accepted at all BPL branches during open hours, with donation bins available for easy drop-off.
How It Works
Throughout April, donations collected at all library branches will be brought together at Central Branch. From there, the supplies will be sorted, organized, and prepared for future use in library programs.
At the end of the drive, teens have a chance to get involved through a special volunteer event at Central Branch, and help sort and organize donated materials while earning community service hours. Starting March 18, sign up to take part in Craft Supply Drive Sorting Day!
Once sorted, supplies will be redistributed to branches for use in children’s and teen programming across the library system.
Why It Matters
The Craft Supply Drive is a practical, community-powered way to celebrate Earth Month. By donating usable materials, you’re helping:
- Reduce waste through creative reuse.
- Increase access to supplies for library programming.
- Support hands-on learning and creativity for children and teens.
- Create meaningful volunteer opportunities for teens.
- Strengthen community involvement.
