New Updates to BPL’s Catalogue
Our online catalogue is your one-stop shop to find books and items to borrow from the library. We’ve recently made some changes to our catalogue to help make it easier for you to browse and discover your next great read. We’ve also added new menu options to help you find even more items to borrow, such as digital books, movies, TV shows, outdoor play equipment, games, puzzles, and more.
What’s New
On the top menu bar, you will now see some new options for browsing the catalogue:
Explore: Explore recently added items and recommended reads, such as book reviews, new book lists, as well as awards and bestseller lists
Books: Search books by adult, teen or children’s books, or large print.
New Titles: See what has just arrived and is ready to borrow.
Staff Picks: Check out book lists on a variety of topics, created by our staff just for you.
Digital Books: Browse a large selection of eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines.
Movies & TV: Find your favourites on BluRay, DVD, and streaming platforms
Learn & Play: Explore even more items to borrow, such as community access passes to local parks and museums, or outdoor play equipment like pickleball and beanbag toss.

Tips for a Great Experience
We’re here to help you easily access the items you want to borrow. Use these tips to make the most of our catalogue.
Create a MyBPL Account
Your MyBPL account lets you place holds, check your due dates, create personal reading lists, and more! Visit the login page and enter your account number and PIN. Next, follow the steps on the screen to set up your account, and you’ll be ready to go.
Refine Your Search
When you’re searching in the catalogue, you can use the left-hand menu to refine your search even further so that you can find what you’re looking for. There are options to sort by availability at library branches, audience, genre, topic, and more.
