You’re Invited! Brant Hills Branch Reopening Coming Soon
Brant Hills Branch will open its doors Thursday, October 15 after an extended closure due to construction at the community centre. We’re so excited to welcome back the community and are extremely grateful for your patience during construction.
What’s New?
The construction work replaced the roof and HVAC system in the community centre, so much of the work is behind the scenes and not visible in the branch. But you’ll certainly feel the difference, with better temperature regulation in summer and winter!
New Children’s Area Features
While the building was under construction, we were able to add a few new features to the children’s area to provide more opportunities for hands-on play experiences.
Our new magnetic sensory wall encourages hands-on STEM learning, helping to support motor skills, problem solving, and social collaboration. New Touch2Play stations will provide opportunities for learning through digital technology, with educational games and experiences to explore and learn.
Halloween Fun
We also have some special activities for Halloween. Try our Scavenger Hunt for kids, take a guess in our candy counting contest, and join us for spooky Halloween-themed programs all month long.
For adults and older teens, check out our Midnight Borrowers Puzzle Mystery! In this escape-room-style adventure, solve puzzles, uncover clues, and search for hidden, enchanted library cards. This is a self-directed challenge that takes approximately one hour to complete.
Brant Hills Bingo
Kids can reintroduce themselves to the branch with our fun Bingo activity! Collect five squares and receive a sticker for a prize.
We also have stickers for all ages! With Ontario Public Library Week coming up, we have five free stickers to help spread support for libraries.
You’re Invited
Join us on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18 to celebrate the opening of the branch. Hope to see you there!
