2026 Bookmark Contest Winners
Drumroll, please... We are thrilled to announce the results of our annual bookmark contest! This year's challenge was to create a design inspired by a favourite book. After tallying up over 3,000 votes cast online, the 2026 winners are:
- Jenna L. (5 and under) - Inspired by Zootopia books/movie.
- Theia V. (6-8 years old) - Inspired by Days with Frog and Toad by Arnold Lobel.
- Dharani P. (9-12 years old) - Inspired by Black Beauty by Anna Sewell.
- Julia A. (13-17 years old) - Inspired by Whale Done by Stuart Gibbs.
- Gordon J. (18+) - Inspired by Citadels of the Lost by Tracy Hickman.
The 500+ entries we received were as creative and diverse as the books on our shelves! It was incredibly challenging to narrow down the entries in each age category for voting, but we hope you agree that the winning designs showcase the imagination and talent of our Burlington community.
Congratulations to our five winners, and a big thank you to everyone who submitted a design and voted. The winning bookmarks are now available for pickup at your local branch on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Tuck them into your next great read!
