Brant Hills Branch Closure Extended

For the past month, construction activities for the roof replacement and HVAC project have been underway at Brant Hills Community Centre, including the library.

Unfortunately, the work is not yet complete, and the library will not be able to open as originally planned on September 14. The branch closure is extended to Wednesday, September 30, with plans to reopen on Thursday, October 1.

We know an extended library closure can be disruptive, and we sincerely thank you for your patience and understanding.

The nearest branches are Tansley Woods Branch (1996 Itabashi Way) and Alton Branch (3040 Tim Dobbie Drive).

Important Dates

  • September 8–30: Brant Hills Branch is closed, including the book drop
  • October 1: Anticipated reopening of Brant Hills Branch

Books and Items Borrowed

All due dates for items borrowed from Brant Hills Branch have been extended to Friday, October 2. You can also return your items to any other BPL location.

Our online services are always available. You can access digital books, magazines and newspapers, learning resources, and more through our website.

Programs

Some programs are also affected by the closure and will be postponed, cancelled, or moved to another branch. We will contact customers directly who have registered for a program about any changes in date or location.

Our final Outdoor Family Storytime of the season is Wednesday, September 9, at Brant Hills Park, D1 behind the library. Drop-in programs including Family Storytime, Knit 'n’ Natter, and Queer Peers are on pause until we reopen and are expected to restart October 1. For a full list of programs, please visit our online program calendar.

Thank You, Again

We’re very sorry for the inconvenience and truly appreciate your understanding. We look forward to welcoming you back to the branch in October.
