NEW for 2026
Battle of the Books is taking a fresh approach to the resource lists. For the first time, teams will get the titles of the books being used in the Battles to help them prepare. There will be 30 books each on the Junior and Senior lists, spanning the genres of Adventure, Contemporary, Fantasy, Historical, Humour, and Non-Fiction. This exciting change will help readers jump into the right stories right away. And to inspire a deeper exploration of the featured books, we also added comprehension questions to the Battle rounds.

The tournament dates for Burlington Battle of the Books 2026 and the Burlington Grand Battle are in April, dates to be announced. And, we're thrilled to announce that the Regional Battle of the Books Championship against other Halton teams will take place at Milton Public Library in May.
