Telling Tales celebrates the important role Canadian storytellers play in shaping the future. It brings together authors, artists, musicians, and poets to engage even the most reluctant readers. Books have the power to transport us to different worlds, cities and places where we truly experience stories. Burlington Public Library is excited and proud to be a major partner in the Telling Tales Festival in 2022.

Plan to join our talented troupe of tale spinners under The Big White Tent on Sat September 24 & Sun September 25. Enjoy stories and puppet shows that’ll tickle your funny bone and send shivers down your spine! Hear favourite folk songs from yonder and fantastical fairy tales from yore. Puppet shows and pop-up storytimes run throughout the weekend—check the festival calendar for showtimes. PLUS: On Sunday, 11.15-11.45am, explore the natural world through stories and a take-home activity at the Nature Tales Stage. Programs are free, but registration is required in advance (through Telling Tales).
