Take Flight & Write Winners

Take Flight & Write Winners

take flight & write logoBPL's annual writing contest for teens is an opportunity for local young people to explore their world through storytelling. This year, 47 young writers shared their creative talents with our panel of judges, submitting 89 short stories and poems. Congratulations to everyone who participated in this year's contest!

We invite teens to get inspired by recent winning entries, and to take part of Take Flight & Write next year. Here's some great advice from past winners about taking The Big Step and putting your story or poem out there for judging.

Burlington Public Library subscribes to the basic principles of intellectual freedom and the open exchange of information. Take Flight & Write is an open forum for young writers to express their ideals and creativity.

All creative works are the property of the writers; no portion of any story or poem may be published in any format without prior consent of the writer. Questions? Please contact Amanda Wilk, Community Librarian, Youth.
