Telling Tales is an annual family festival of stories at Westfield Heritage Village in Rockton, Ontario. Now in its 11th year, Telling Tales brings together English, French, and Indigenous authors, artists, musicians, and poets that engage even the most reluctant readers. Through stories we bond with our family, our friends, and our heroes.
Burlington Public Library is thrilled to support Telling Tales 2019 in a few exciting ways this summer—and it all starts with a bookmark colouring contest!
Open now to children and youth 3 to 14, here's the challenge: Create a bookmark that shows us how you think stories can change the world!
Get creative for a chance to win fantastic prizes. All you have to do is download print the contest entry form (below), design and colour your personal bookmark, and then drop it off at any Burlington Public Library branch. Contest closes Wed July 31.
Join the Summer Reading Club and you'll have a chance to win the Grand Prize to become the 'Burlington Public Library Telling Tales VIP'! Check out the Telling Tales booklist below that features authors and illustrators you could meet as our Very Important Person.
