International Women's Day

March 8 is International Women's Day—a global day that celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a "call to action" to increase gender equality—where women and men are considered, valued, and favoured equally—to eliminate gender discrimination, and to raise awareness of the issues and challenges women in our society continue to face today.

Below, you'll find links for virtual IWD events, including the launch of 1,000 Women Leaders, a "speed-relating" session, a virtual presentation from Career Recharge, a panel discussion about self-love and entrepreneaurship, and a classical music concert featuring piano masterpieces by women. Plus, explore our Staff Picks about feminism and women's achievements, and recommended feminist fiction titles.
