Holiday Happenings

Take a break from the holiday hustle & bustle—get away to your local library branch throughout December and the school break.

There's lots for kids and their families to do during the holiday break. We get in the festive mood with Storytelling for the Holidays with the Burlington Storytellers Guild (Dec 7), and a Brass Holiday Concert with Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra (Dec 9). Family fun continues with extra Family Storytime sessions at Central (Dec 24, Dec 30, Jan 2), Rhythm & Beat (Dec 23), Family Boogie & Books (Dec 28), and drop-in Family Makers at all locations.

For film fans, screenings include Babar (Dec 1), Saint Nicholas: The Real Story (Dec 3), The Santa Clause (Dec 5), The Lion King (a sensory-friendly screening, Dec 15), It's a Wonderful Life (Dec 12),  Getting to the Nutcracker (17), The Grinch (Dec 27), Mary Poppins Returns (Dec 29), and Ralph Breaks the Internet (Jan 3). All films are free.

And some perennial favourites are back: Noon Year's Eve Party for kids (Dec 31), Hip Hop Dance Workshop (Jan 3), and our puppet show of storytime favourites (Jan 3). Check our events calendar for program details and more listings.
