Community Fridge

Aldershot branch, in partnership with Food for Life, is Burlington's first community fridge location to complement four other Food for Life community program sites in the city. Three times a week, Food for Life volunteers stock the fridge with loose fresh food items for neighbourhood residents to take what they want when they need it. Food items are available as supplies last and no pick-up appointment is necessary. Please bring reusable bags to fill with items from the fridge.

Food for the community fridge is provided by Food for Life. The Library does not accept food donations for the community fridge. Other worthy organizations in the community accept or offer donated food year-round.

Food for Life is a registered local charity that relies on community support to keep all community fridges stocked with fresh food. For those wanting to help out, please visit the Food for Life website to learn more about volunteer opportunities and how to make a financial contribution.
