How to Speak in Public: Teen Toastmasters

How to Make Your Own Comic Book

Pink Shirt Day 2010: Bullying Stops Here!
Wednesday, April 14
BPL is going pink! Join staff and wear pink in support of anti-bullying. Pink Shirt Day began in 2007 when two teenage boys organized a high school to wear pink in support of a student who was being bullied. Stop by our Think Pink display at Central and check out our resources on bullying, cyber bullying, Internet safety, as well as the Rainbow Collection featuring books and resources for LGTB youth.

Writers’ Craft

Take Flight & Write Teen Writing Contest
Calling all Burlington teen writers! Show off your creative talent and participate in our 10th annual writing contest for teens. Starting April 1, students in grades 7-12 may enter original short stories or poetry at any Burlington Public Library location for a chance to win cash prizes. Pick up the official entry form at your local library or download it with all the details from our teen website. Entry deadline: July 31, 2010.
