Public Library Week

Public Library Week

ontario public library week

Libraries are special places—for everyone

Every year, during the third week of October, we celebrate the importance of public libraries and the people we serve.

Whether you come in or click on, every day Burlington Public Library touches the lives of thousands of people—

Take a course, meet an author, visit with friends.
Do your homework, learn a song, watch a film.
      Play.
         Surf online or browse unplugged.
Sit and think (or just sit).
Write The Great Canadian Novel, or simply borrow one.

Explore limitless possibilities at your public library—and come celebrate with us!

Help yourself and the community by paying your overdue fines with unexpired canned and dry food items to benefit Burlington Food Share. One food item equals $1 in fines, two items equal $2, up to a maximum of $10 per person.

And this year, we have three contests on during the week - you could be a winner! Find out more here: 140 on 140, Check *this* Out, and Win Lego
