Author Shane Peacock (Eye of the Crow) will be presenting, as well as door prizes, refreshments, and author signing.

2008 Winners

Children across Ontario in kindergarten to grade 2 who had registered for the Blue Spruce program voted for their favourite book.

The winners of the 2008 Blue Spruce Award was:
Scaredy Squirrel Makes a Friend , by Melanie Watt (fiction)

Children across Ontario in grades 3 to 4 who had registered for the Silver Birch Express program voted for their favourite book.

The winners of the 2008 Silver Birch Express Award was:
Things are Looking Grimm, Jill , by Dan Bar-el (fiction)

The Secret of Grim Hill , by Linda DeMeulemeester (fiction)

Grade 7 and 8 students who participated in the Red Maple program voted for their favourite fiction and non-fiction books.
