You will need to enter the 14 digit number from your Burlington Public Library card to access BPL's online databases remotely, e.g. from home. These resources are NOT available to reciprocal borrowers registered with cards from Halton or Hamilton libraries.

Ancestry Library Edition (ProQuest)

A key resource for anyone doing genealogical or historical research, Ancestry includes census information, vital records, immigration and military records, photos, maps, and gazetteers. Coverage includes Canada, the U.S., and the U.K, dating back in some instances to the early 13th century.

Globe and Mail - Canada's Heritage from 1844 (ProQuest)

A full-page digitized archive of the entire Globe and Mail newspaper dating back to the pre-Confederation era. This fully searchable database covers 1844 through 2003.

Toronto Star - Pages of the Past (ProQuest)

A digitized reproduction of the full newspaper from 1894 to 2004. This archive is searchable by keyword, phrase and Boolean query, five years at a time. It also allows browsing by date.
