Book Camp

Burlington Book Camp
August 13 to 17, 2012
It's the only day camp for young writers in the Golden Horseshoe!
Location
Burlington Central Library, 2331 New Street
Hours
Camp runs from 9am to 3.30pm each day (1.30pm on Friday).
Participants
Burlington Book Camp is open to children ages 10 to 12 years old.
What to Expect
Aspiring young writers work with some of Canada's best children's authors, illustrators, storytellers, and editors throughout the week.
Learn lots and have fun too! Activities will range from brainstorming ideas, writing, cartooning, illustrating and self-editing.
Children are divided into groups with a trained camp counsellor for each group. Campers are supervised at all times, including the lunch break from noon-1pm. Campers may go outdoors during the camp day to participate in outdoor activities. Participants will bring own snacks and lunch.
