Aldershot Branch Project

It’s big, bright, and beautiful! Library staff are eager to welcome you to our new space at 550 Plains Road East. The branch opens at 10 a.m. December 1.

 In addition to comfortable furniture and a bright interior, customers will see some new technology: six all-in-one public access computers and a large screen TV showing library information and videos. You will now have the convenience of using your debit card to pay for things like book bags, program fees and printouts, and a self-checkout station for fast and easy borrowing. For people with low or no vision, the branch now has an Optelec ClearReader Plus that scans and reads back print, in addition to the Optelec Clearview CCTV text magnifier for books and magazines.  We gratefully acknowledge the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport for its financial assistance in purchasing a self-checkout unit and new furnishings for the Children's Area of the branch.
